Evolution of the specific volume across the glass transition

Evolution of the specific volume across the glass transition. The temperature where the graph crosses over from the steep slope of the liquid to the flat slope of the glass depends on the cooling speed. If the temperature is quenched rapidly to T2 and then kept constant, the specific volume relaxes slowly towards lower values.
